What I Do
Games and Programming
I spend my days connecting sound with code and testing the results in‑game. A custom UE5 Foley plugin I've developed, lets every footstep speak in real time, and I switch between C++, Python, and Lua whenever the design asks for it. Effect Grid—a compact and powerful VST I built for multi‑band effect chains—reminds me that simple ideas can spark big results. Away from the editor I’m still in game mode, learning and exploring new ideas.
Sound and Music
What began as making electronic music with a friend —very old song, less old— turned into recording bands, cleaning dialogue, and layering impacts for trailers. Each session trains my ears a little more. I listen for textures that move with the story. Growing up in Mexico City, surrounded by constant movement, taught me that every noise has a rhythm worth capturing.
Tech Toolbox
Patch bays, Dante networks, NAS boxes, PoE routers—if it carries audio or data, I have probably wired it. I’ve built and cabled entire studios from the ground up, set up Perforce servers, managed SSL certificates, and kept switches running. I’m not a full‑time sysadmin, but a solid technical base lets the creative work fly, so I keep sharpening those skills.
Off Grid
When I'm not behind a computer I'm probably outside—skiing fresh snow, biking from the city to forest trails, or exploring new places. The outdoors resets my ears and my mind, to come back with a fresh start. And when the weather doesn't allow, I still fire up games—they’re part of how I unwind and stay curious.
